Why Starfall Lodge?

The lodge takes its name from the night sky above North Lake Tahoe. Surrounded by towering pines and far from city lights, evenings here often end with eyes turned upward. The stargazing dome was inspired by those moments, creating a space to slow down, look up, and experience Tahoe after dark.

In many ways, the dome reflects the spirit of the lodge itself: a place for curiosity, conversation, and shared memories beneath the stars.

Whether you're gathering for a family holiday, a ski weekend, or a summer escape by the lake, we hope the memories made at Starfall Lodge become part of your Tahoe story.

The Tahoe Journal is our part of that story — guides, stories, and seasonal notes from the North Shore: where to eat, where to ski, when to stargaze, and how to slow down.
